Lago di Ledro

Lake Ledro: nature, relaxation and history in the heart of Trentino

Nestled among the mountains just a few kilometres from Riva del Garda, Lake Ledro is one of Trentino’s natural gems.
With its crystal-clear waters, well-kept beaches and peaceful setting, it’s the perfect destination for those seeking a relaxing day that still offers plenty of things to do.
Located at about 650 metres above sea level, it enjoys mild temperatures even in summer, with a welcoming atmosphere ideal for couples, families and outdoor lovers.

Equipped beaches are spread all around the lake, each with its own personality.
In Pieve di Ledro you’ll find green areas, a playground, pedalo rentals and easy water access – ideal for families.
Molina di Ledro, on the other hand, offers more active spaces with beach volleyball courts and opportunities for sailing, canoeing and stand-up paddleboarding.
Those looking for peace and quiet can unwind in Mezzolago, while the Pur area features a wild beach surrounded by nature, perfect also for visitors with dogs.

A scenic 10-kilometre cycling and walking path encircles the lake, suitable for everyone.
You can ride or stroll along it, always accompanied by views of the water and mountains, with plenty of panoramic spots for photos or breaks.

Beyond its natural beauty, Lake Ledro also holds a fascinating piece of history: the Pile-Dwelling Museum in Molina di Ledro.
Here you can explore a full-scale reconstruction of a prehistoric stilt village and view original Bronze Age artefacts found during the 1929 excavations.
The site is part of the UNESCO heritage network and makes a great stop for families with children looking for both fun and learning.

Lake Ledro is truly family-friendly: the waters are swimmable, services are plentiful, and the range of outdoor activities is varied and accessible.
You can swim, play, explore easy trails nearby, or simply enjoy a day surrounded by nature and charming small villages.
