Overlooking the city, Buonconsiglio Castle is the most important historical complex in Trentino-Alto Adige.
Built in the 13th century, it served as the residence of the Prince-Bishops until the 18th century. Inside the Aquila Tower, you’ll find the famous Cycle of the Months, a masterpiece of International Gothic art. Today, the castle hosts art collections and temporary exhibitions.
Piazza Duomo and Neptune Fountain
The beating heart of Trento, Piazza Duomo is surrounded by historic buildings and dominated by the grand Fountain of Neptune.
Built between 1767 and 1769 by sculptor Francesco Antonio Giongo, the fountain stands 12 metres tall and portrays the sea god surrounded by tritons and sea horses.
Palazzo Roccabruna – Trentino Wine Gallery
Located in the historic centre, the elegant Renaissance Palazzo Roccabruna is home to the Trentino Provincial Wine Gallery.
It’s the perfect spot to taste local wines and take part in food and wine events.
Designed by renowned architect Renzo Piano, MUSE is an interactive museum exploring science, nature and innovation.
Its exhibitions cover everything from prehistory to future technology – a must-visit for families and science lovers alike.
Trento–Sardagna Cable Car
For a panoramic view of the city and the surrounding mountains, take the cable car to Sardagna, a hilltop suburb of Trento.
At the top, you’ll find a viewpoint and a restaurant with a terrace.
