Val Genova: the waterfall valley in the heart of Adamello Brenta Park

If you’re looking for a truly authentic and spectacular slice of nature in western Trentino, Val Genova is a must-visit.
Located in the Adamello Brenta Nature Park, this side valley of Val Rendena is known for its pristine environment and, above all, its impressive waterfalls – among the most scenic in the Alps.

The most famous is the Nardis Waterfall, which plunges over 130 metres and is visible right from the main road running through the valley.
A little further on, you’ll discover the Lares Waterfall, Pedruc Waterfall, and the charming Casòl Waterfall, each surrounded by forests, rocks, and alpine streams.

Accessible trails for everyone

Visiting Val Genova is an experience suitable for everyone.
The road is open to cars in the low season, and served by shuttle buses and e-bikes in summer.
Well-marked trails offer easy walks, perfect even for families with children.
Along the way, you’ll find picnic areas, wooden bridges and scenic viewpoints — ideal for taking photos or simply pausing to listen to the sound of the water.

A base for hiking and adventure

The valley is also the starting point for more challenging hikes to high-altitude mountain huts or the Adamello glaciers.
During the summer months, the Stenico Visitor Centre organises nature activities, guided walks and workshops for all ages — a deep dive into the alpine landscape, among fragrant woods and open skies.

Among spruce forests, crystal-clear waters and dramatic waterfalls, Val Genova never fails to amaze.
Perfect for a day trip or an active holiday, it’s one of the most beautiful and authentic places to experience the mountains in a simple yet meaningful way.
